The etudes are undeniably some of the most musical works for the instrument, all having a sense of line, themes and musical direction. These etudes are suitable for advanced high school students, college level students and offer challenges for the professional player as well.The first 20 etudes use the standard playing techniques, ie. snare drum sticks on the head of the drum. Etudes 21-25 offer the player a wide variety of sounds, playing positions and techniques.
